Early Preventative Screenings

Preventive health screenings help people understand their risk for developing chronic conditions before symptoms are present, enabling them and their doctors to take action to potentially prevent disease. The preventive health screening services provided by Cedar Court Imaging uses accurate, non-invasive health screening methods to identify risk factors that can lead to cardiovascular disease, stroke, peripheral artery disease, osteoporosis, and other serious illnesses.

CT Cardiac Scoring

Is a noninvasive CT scan of the heart which produces images of the coronary arteries to assess for calcifications from plaque buildup, and indicator for coronary artery disease. This exam may be especially beneficial to those with a known family history of cardiovascular disease or heart attack.

CT Lung Cancer Screening

This is a screening test to look for early lung cancers. Finding tumors early is very important before they cause symptoms or spread to other parts of the body. Those with an increased risk of developing lung cancer such as current, or former smokers may benefit from this exam.

CT Abdomen & Pelvis

This screening exam is to check the major organs of the abdomen and pelvis for abnormalities. Early detection of masses before they cause symptoms increases your chance of a cure.

Carotid Artery Screening

Ultrasound evaluation of the carotid arteries in the neck. This exam screens for narrowing or blockage caused by plaque/fatty build up which can break free and cause a stroke.

Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) Testing

This ultrasound exam checks the blood flow in your legs. Peripheral artery disease can cause narrowing of the blood vessels that supply blood to the legs. Those with diabetes are prone to diminished blood flow to the legs and feet and may benefit from this screening.

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Ultrasound

This ultrasound screening test looks at the diameter of the abdominal aorta. This large vessel in your abdomen can enlarge due to weakening of its wall. If this vessel ruptures it can lead to life-threatening internal bleeding.

Osteoporosis Risk Assessment

Bone density, a quick x-ray exam of your forearm to measure bone density, which if low can lead to spine and or hip fractures. This exam can estimate your chance of an osteoporotic fracture before it occurs.
